Stephen’s Wood Osteopathic & Sports Injury Clinic is situated approximately 30 minutes drive from Cork city, just 5 minutes from Macroom, and a short stroll from the historic village of Carrigadrohid.

"I have suffered many injuries both in competitive sporting activities and during my 16 years in the military. As a result I've visited a wide variety of therapists which has given me an understanding of the needs of my patients. It's also given me a real empathy and understanding for my patients. My approach is flexible and I cater for people’s individual needs. I work with a diverse range of clients ranging from young to old, athletes and non-athletes".

NEIL WORKS WITH ALL MAJOR IRISH HEALTH INSURERS

Did you know that you can claim a refund from most Irish Health Insurers to partially cover the cost of osteopathic treatments? These must be services which are medically necessary and are provided by a qualified and fully registered osteopath.

It is possible to claim back some of the fees for treatments, for those with certain health insurance policies. The amount you can claim back from your health insurer varies depending on your level of cover, so we recommend you contact your health insurance company for further information.

  • Check your Health Insurer policy to understand what services you are covered for.

  • You can claim back between €20 to €40 per treatment, depending on your health plan.

  • If you are a tax payer you can claim treatment expenses against your tax by using the Med 1 Form (available from www.revenue.ie)
